(option #1)  Canoe Race

Racing Voyageur Canoes through the Long Pond is a great opportunity for team building and exercise.  After dividing the participants into teams, our instructors will be introducing some useful paddling techniques.  Please, listen carefully as this might help you to win the race.  Before the race, will be a leisurely paddle to the Bird Sanctuary.  Once all the canoes are lined up at the beginning of the race course, the signal will be given and all the teams start rushing to the finish line.  The winning team is cheered by excited crowds of onlookers and raise their paddles up in the triumph!  More…

Now, this is definitely is one of our favourite programs.  We love our canoes and the history behind them and we honestly want everyone else to get to know it.  The fleet of our Voyageur Canoes is made of Montreal Canoe replicas that some 300 years ago were used to transport goods on the Canadian highways of that time – rivers and lakes.  The Fur Trade Era History and that of Voyageurs ‘ life is very rich and colourful.  And in this tour you will not only learn it, but will have a chance to take part in the reenactment.  More…
